We offer a complimentary Ear Consultation to discuss your Ear and Hearing needs in detail via a full pre-assessment medical history form. Our Audiologist is fully compliant with HCPC registration body for Hearing Aid Dispensers, the Nice Guidelines and BSA recommended procedures in Audiology. Here, you can also decide together with our Audiologist what treatment or assessment is required.
We offer complimentary Otoscopic Ear Examinations to determine your ear health. Any abnormalities are outlined and any recommendations can be made for further treatment. Wax (cerumen) build-up can be a very common and problematic condition and our experienced Audiologist can provide advice and treatment for this. Our video otoscopy will allow you to view a high resolution live image of your ears.
Once wax build-up has been diagnosed, we can offer wax removal treatments such as: ear drop treatments, manual extraction via sterile and safe tools and microsuction treatment by using a gentle vacuum suction visualised by high resolution eye lenses to remove all debris, dead skin (keratin) and wax (cerumen) from your ear canals.
We offer a detailed diagnostic Hearing Assessment to outline any hearing impairments and ascertain the degree of hearing loss as well as type of hearing loss - whether it is a sensori-neural hearing loss related to your hearing nerve or a conductive hearing loss indicating problems in your middle-ear or outer-ear, you will have gained further knowledge on best management and treatment of your hearing loss. We recommend a 12-24 month check-up to monitor your hearing loss or progression.
We also offer middle-ear function testing via a probe which emits pressure changes into your ear and provides information about how well your ear drum is moving and whether there is any congestion behind the ear drum i.e. middle-ear fluid build-up or Eustachian Tube Dysfunction - a ventilation tube that's primary function is to equalise pressure in the middle-ear may not be working well for those experiencing 'fullness' 'blocked feeling' unrelated to ear wax build-up 'congestion' 'pressure build-up'.
